WL4J Pen Pals and Social Networking

We are moving out into a new adventure inspired by the Saturday Kids Fellowship. We were blessed to have a young man receive an initiation to have a pen pal and when I was asking the young gentleman when he was coming over to write the letter to his pen pal, all the other children wanted one too. Well of course Sister Alissa had to tell them that she would see what she could do.

So our first step is to reach out to all those that receive the WL4J newsletter, Good Morning and Honesty Today emails, a few Yahoo groups along with all our sisters in WL4J social group.

Guidelines:

Adults may participate for both snail and email buddies but you can only participate with other adults, we are not currently set up to do a mentoring program which is coming soon but it is not set up as of yet because there are guidelines that must be followed when you are involving adults and children for any interaction. We are not responsible for bad matching of any kind and do not take any responsibility in that, yet if you are linked with some one who is clearly not a Christian OR is not who they say they are, makes you feel uncomfortable in any way, soliciting for services and or money please inform us right away! We will handle it from there. We will not sell your email address, name or address to anyone at all, we are solely doing this to help bring kids and adults who want pen pals together as another means to keep our way in Christ. If you have any questions or would like to join the Pen Pals program send an email to sisteralissalynne@comcast.net with the following information or your question.

Children are to send there age, gender, name and address, along with favorite interests as we will try to match them with a child with the same interests.

Adults are to do the same except they do not have to send their age.

At this time all pen pals will be matched by gender – no cross gender matching will take place.

We (Sister Alissa and Elder Merv) are looking into possibly starting something for singles to meet other singles across the US. As Elder Merv and Sister Alissa Lynne met on line – starting out as friends to turn into something more, it has been a desire of both of us to do the same thing for others – free of charge or for a low fee involved…yet with lowering the risk of meeting people who are not really who they say they are. Sister Alissa has experienced that on several occasions and has now been able to offer online advice to other sisters out there meeting people on the dos and don’ts. If you are interested in this kind of forum, please send an email to sisteralissalynne@comcast.net to inform her of your interests and receive more information.
